PROJECT COORDINATION I PROJECT COORDINATION PROCESS
Project
Coordination Process
As a project coordinator, I manage the entire project as a single point of contact.
1
We discuss the project details and assess the requirements. The needs assessment is free of charge!
This is one of the most important phases. If you have a clear vision of what you want and the task is clear to me, we’ve eliminated 90% of potential issues.
2
I will prepare a detailed quote.
The detailed quote covers everything that might be important and includes individual requirements as well.
3
On-site assessment followed by planning.
The location is the second most important factor, as it can either unlock or restrict numerous possibilities. Planning is done with the construction options in mind. While this should be obvious, I'm sure you've encountered situations where the plans and the actual construction possibilities were completely out of sync... I bet you just nodded involuntarily!
4
I optimize costs and initiate the competitive bidding process for the execution.
An ownership mindset is not just a phrase for me. Keeping costs reasonable and optimizing them is a delicate task, but my knowledge of the market tips the balance in my favor. The same applies to selecting and negotiating with contractors and subcontractors.
5
We finalize the contracts, and I handle all the administration.
Administration isn't the most exciting part of a project, but it's crucial to ensure that all data and records are accurate. I pay special attention to this throughout the entire project.
6
I oversee the execution and the scheduling of costs.
This phase requires the most expertise and experience. Choosing the right subcontractors is crucial not only because of price and skill but also because of reliability, which is equally important to me. The professional shouldn’t disappear for weeks when they are most needed, and the quality of their work should be impeccable. They should not change anything we’ve agreed on during the process, and they shouldn’t claim that beige is actually wenge.
7
At the end of the project, I prepare an evaluation.
Many of my clients don't necessarily require an evaluation, but I believe it's important. It's helpful to quickly review what happened and how things progressed during the project.
